This is the prototype longbow stand, made from found ( not cut ) Beech, a huge nail I found ( over 15 cm long ) and yacht varnish. A little too shiney, so the next antler topped one will be a little more matt, but more garish in other ways !

The second version of my longbow stand, using antlers from a deer. It boasts two ( so you can share the stand ) foam footings to protect the bow and a rather obvious antler head to hold the bow upright.
